Perform a risk assessment: analysing and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company.
Evaluating the company’s previous handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by industry best practice and compliance/ legal requirements.
Create, maintain, update, and communicate risk policies and processes to relevant stakeholders, including BCP and incident policies.
Create, maintain, and update risk register and other relevant documents for audit purposes.
Assure controls are in place and operating effectively.
Provide research and analytical support to other business functions.
Reviewing internal business/ new project proposals to see if any risks may arise and need mitigation plan.
Conduct third party audit in the purpose of GCG and ISO (sample-based).
Build and improve AML practice based on regulations and best practice.
Build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4-6 years of experience in compliance and Legal (preferably within the fintech industry).
Strong understanding of financial regulations such as AML, KYC, and GDPR.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Experience with compliance software/tools is a plus.
