In this strategic position, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality Mandarin language instruction to secondary school students, helping them develop crucial language skills and cultural understanding.

What you'll be doing

Plan and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons that cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of students

Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance student learning outcomes

Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain comprehensive records

Collaborate with the wider teaching team to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Mandarin curriculum

Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth

Actively engage in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and methodologies in language education

What we're looking for

Degree in Mandarin language, linguistics, or a related field

Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Mandarin in a secondary school or equivalent setting

Strong command of the Mandarin language, both written and spoken

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds

Proven track record of developing and implementing engaging, student‑centred lesson plans

Proficient in using technology and digital resources to enhance the learning experience
