Associate Head of Corporate Finance

Overview Indepay | Setara Networks seeks an Associate Head, Corporate Finance to lead financial management and internal controls as the company scales. This role will oversee corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and regulatory requirements

Communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Own investor relationships and management, coordinating and directing the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and report variances

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition

Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, coordinate regulatory reporting, research technical accounting issues for compliance, and support the month-end and year-end close

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting, and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Advise on multi-geography organization-wide structuring

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls

Drive creation and implementation of processes including ERP implementation to ensure end-to-end compliance across the company

Work closely with the operations manager and act as finance advisor to bridge the gap between operations and accounting teams

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA is a must

6 to 8 years of experience in finance, including 4+ years in payments/fintech/insurance/marketplace

Experience in investor relations, capital restructuring, fund management, financial statements, cost control & management

Prior experience in a Big 4 audit firm is a plus

Comfortable working in an early-stage to growth-stage company and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Proven track record in similar settings, such as a pre-Series A-B company (plus)

Leadership with the ability to take calculated risks and balance risk-taking with sound decision-making to build innovative solutions

Strong knowledge of corporate (Companies Act 2013), commercial and IP laws, industry practices, corporate policies and procedures

Experience leading finance and accounts teams in a consumer-facing company

Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, drive change, and collaborate with various stakeholders

Superior analytical skills with the ability to see both granular and big-picture issues

Strong written and spoken communication skills

Excellent business acumen, problem-solving ability, and tech-savviness
