Location: Iceland – just outside Reykjavík (open to relocators)

We are seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Packaging Engineer to join our production team in Iceland, located just outside Reykjavík. About the Role
This is a demanding and technical position where you will play a key role in operating, optimizing, and maintaining specialized packaging equipment under strict GMP and quality standards.
You will work with advanced machinery including:
Uhlmann 1030 blister machines
Uhlmann 2205 cartoning machines
BEC 300 blister machines
Additional supporting packaging equipment
Shift-based work, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and configuration of packaging machines before and after production cycles
Machine setup, tooling adjustments, and format changes
Monitoring and operation of packaging lines during production
Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
Supporting preventive maintenance and repair coordination
Participating in process improvements and new product introductions
Working closely with operators and technical teams to maintain production stability
Minimizing downtime while ensuring GMP compliance and product quality
Qualifications
Relevant vocational education in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, metallurgical, or related technical fields
Minimum 5 years of machinery experience
experience with machine maintenance, changeovers, and troubleshooting
Experience with packaging machinery or other complex technical equipment is highly advantageous
Strong independent problem-solving ability
Structured, precise, and quality-focused working style
Good English skills
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
