Job Description Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership: Define and own backend architecture strategy for scalable, secure, and resilient financial platforms.

Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing backend engineering team across multiple geographies.

Innovation & Delivery: Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (microservices, event-driven architecture, CI/CD, cloud deployments).

Collaboration: Partner with product, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions aligned with business goals.

Performance Optimization: Ensure backend systems meet stringent SLAs for latency, throughput, and reliability.

Compliance & Security: Embed best practices for data security and regulatory compliance in all backend solutions.

The Successful Applicant Ideal Candidate

Experience:

15+ years in backend engineering, with at least 7+ years in leadership roles.

Proven track record in designing and scaling distributed systems for high-volume financial or transactional platforms.

Technical Expertise:

Advanced proficiency in Golang and Java.

Strong knowledge of microservices, API design, and event-driven architectures.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Leadership Skills:

Ability to inspire and lead diverse engineering teams.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Bonus:

Exposure to fintech, banking, or payment systems.

Familiarity with security standards (PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
