Job Description
Directs the aesthetic, functional, and strategic development of furniture collections. They bridge the gapbetween creative vision and, in many cases, mass production, ensuring products align with market trends, brandidentity, and profitability.
What You Will Do
Design Strategy & Leadership : Establish and implement the overall design vision, direction, and productstrategy for the furniture business unit.
Trend & Market Research : Conduct in-depth research into furniture trends, consumer preferences,materials, and competitor activities to guide new product concepts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, production, marketing, and salesdepartments to ensure designs are functional, manufacturable, and commercially viable.
Team Management & Mentorship : Lead, mentor, and overseeing their performance, providing feedback, andmanaging workloads.
Quality & Brand Consistency : Oversee the review process for all prototypes and final designs to ensurethey meet brand standards and quality requirements.
Budgeting & Scheduling : Manage design budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring projects arecompleted on schedule.
Key Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in furniture design, with a strong portfolio and at least 2–3 years in aleadership or senior role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor), 3D modeling, and Adobe CreativeSuite.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of furniture materials, manufacturing processes, productiontechniques, and ergonomics.
Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills, with theability to articulate design rationale to stakeholders.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods, including walking through office, and warehouse spaces.
Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer work, sketching, and handling material samples.
Occasional lifting and carrying of materials, samples, and product prototypes.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally for supplier visits, trade shows, and design developmentmeetings.
Visual acuity to assess product details, colors, and finishes accurately.
Ability to adapt to various work environments, including office settings, and warehouses.
Occasional bending, kneeling, or reaching to inspect products or review samples.

Pay range: Up to 300 million per year.
1X THR (based on THP) per year.
