Senior Analytics Engineer

Senior Analytics Engineer Remote (LatAm) | Must overlap with EST Contractor (6-12 month contract, with possibility of extension)

About the Role We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to support a high-velocity, production-grade operational environment. This role is focused on performance measurement, KPI tracking, automation, and analytical support for business-critical systems. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, strong in SQL and Python, and comfortable working in a structured environment with defined processes and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries for performance tracking and root cause analysis Build and maintain automated analytical workflows using Python Design, enhance, and maintain KPI dashboards Support and refactor existing scripts and reporting pipelines Translate business requirements into structured analytical outputs Identify performance gaps and recommend data-driven improvements Ensure production-level quality, documentation, and governance standards Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills Advanced SQL (complex joins, aggregations, performance optimization) Strong Python for automation and analytical workflows Experience building KPI frameworks and dashboards Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot or similar) Experience working with modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake or similar) Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving Clear communication and data storytelling skills

Nice to Have Experience in high-volume operational or supply chain environments Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) or Databricks Experience supporting production systems Background in applied analytics or decision science Agile delivery experience
