Position Summary: The

Director of Finance

provides strategic financial leadership and governance for the hotel during and after its conversion into

Banyan Group . As a key member of the Executive Committee, this role is responsible for ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, compliance with Banyan Group standards, and sound financial decision-making. The position oversees all accounting, finance, purchasing, and cost control functions, supporting the hotel’s financial performance, asset protection, and long-term sustainability throughout the conversion journey.

Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Governance Lead and manage all finance and accounting functions in accordance with Banyan Group policies, GAAP, and local statutory requirements. Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and ensure financial integrity. Act as a key financial advisor to the General Manager and Executive Committee. Hotel Conversion & Systems Integration Lead the finance transition during the hotel conversion, including implementation of Banyan Group financial systems, reporting structures, and policies. Ensure readiness for audits, compliance reviews, and corporate reporting requirements pre- and post-conversion. Coordinate with Corporate and Regional Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial integration. Financial Planning & Performance Management Prepare, manage, and monitor the hotel’s annual budget, forecasts, and business plans. Provide accurate financial analysis, insights, and projections to support strategic and operational decision-making. Monitor departmental costs, productivity, and profitability, recommending corrective actions as required. Cost Control, Purchasing & Asset Management Oversee cost control, purchasing, and inventory management functions to ensure efficiency and compliance. Control capital expenditure and FF&E in line with approved budgets and justifications. Administer hotel insurance programs in coordination with Banyan Group Corporate Office. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management Ensure full compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings. Approve contracts, leases, and financial documents, ensuring proper authorization and safekeeping. People Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop the Finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement. Support talent development, performance management, and succession planning within the department. Ensure payroll, wage administration, and benefits processes comply with company policies and local regulations.

Key Requirements Minimum 5–8 years of experience in hotel finance or accounting within an international or branded hotel environment, with a preference for experience in the hospitality industry (Indonesia experience is a plus). Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional accounting certification is an advantage. Proven experience in a Director of Finance / Financial Controller or equivalent senior finance role. Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, budgeting, cost control, audits, and financial reporting. Solid understanding of local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements; Indonesia experience is a strong advantage. High level of integrity with strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills. Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Proficient in hotel financial systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic, change-driven environment.
