Job Description
Country:
APAC – we’re considering talent across APAC as long as you have experience building content strategies and management plans for global creative organisations.
Location:
Remote
Format:
Freelance 2m, with a possibility of turning into a full-time role with expanded scope
About the Project
You’ll design and run the MASH “content engine” – turning our thinking, client work and talent insights into a visible, consistent brand presence across LinkedIn, CRM and our owned channels. This is a hybrid Content Strategist and Manager role: you set the strategy, shape the plan, and ensure the execution actually happens.
About the Role
Brand Comms & Thought Leadership Strategy
Build a clear brand communications strategy that positions MASH as a thought leader for “future-of-work and new-era agency partnerships” – with defined pillars, audiences, and objectives that clearly clarify what MASH stands for.
Design the content architecture and cadence (e.g. quarterly “meaty” Talent Report + regular short-form “social beats” for LinkedIn, CRM, and site), so we’re consistently in market, not just launching one-off pieces.
Work closely with the APAC GM and leadership to translate business priorities and internal wins into sharp narratives that deepen client relationships and open commercial opportunities.
Shape a 6-month setup phase to build the comms plan, then define the ongoing operating model (who does what, how often, using which channels and formats).
Content Engine, Channels & Experience
Build and manage a strategic content calendar across LinkedIn, newsletters/CRM, and MASH-owned channels – ensuring a mix of hero pieces, repurposed content, quick trend-led posts, and amplifications of our Talent Report.
Turn internal intelligence (case studies, client milestones, talent reports) into tangible assets – you don’t have to do all the design, but you know what “good” looks like and can direct it.
Own our external LinkedIn strategy – from founder/leadership visibility to company-page content – understanding how to work with algorithm, formats, and cadence.
Partner with the designer/UX to improve the website content experience and library navigation, including gated content flows (e.g. email required to download the quarterly report) that feed CRM and sales.
Measurement, Systems & Collaboration
Define what success looks like (reach, engagement, leads, downloads, replies) and set up simple dashboards to track performance across channels.
Collaborate closely with our CRM specialist so emails, nurture flows and content downloads are connected, tracked, and feeding client development.
Continuously refine formats, timing and messaging based on data and qualitative feedback – test, learn, and optimise rather than “set and forget.”
Document the comms, brand and content operating model (playbooks, templates, workflows), so it’s easy to scale, delegate, and maintain on a part-time/retainer basis.
About You
8+ years’ experience in brand communications, content strategy or marketing – ideally for creative, tech, or agency businesses.
Proven track record building and running a content engine across LinkedIn and CRM/email – not just posting ad hoc content.
Strong editorial and strategic judgement – you can shape thought-leadership angles, structure content pillars, and turn complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives in the new agency partnership and talent architecture era.
Comfortable working as a part-time/fractional partner who can drive the HQ team forward – you can design the plan, set the system, and keep it humming with a lean, focused time investment.
Familiar with UX and content design principles for websites and content hubs, including gated content and basic funnel thinking.
Data-aware and hyper-organised – you like calendars, trackers and simple analytics, and you can explain what’s working (and what’s not) to senior stakeholders in plain language.
Please note
Due to the high volume of applications, we unfortunately can’t get back to every one of you, and only successful applicants will be contacted. When you share your details with us, we consider this as consent for us to use your data during the application process. We may implement AI in various stages of the recruitment process, but human involvement will always remain as part of our hiring ethos.
