Transport Manager

About the role Exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Manager to join PT Samsung SDS Global SCL Indonesia, a leading global supply chain and logistics provider. The role is full‑time, office‑based and located in Cakung, Jakarta.

What you’ll be doing

Manage and coordinate all road transport operations, including planning and scheduling vehicle routes and drivers.

Oversee a fleet of vehicles, monitor maintenance, fuel usage and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Liaise with clients to understand their transport requirements and ensure their needs are met.

Analyse transport data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost‑saving initiatives.

Manage and develop a team of transport coordinators and drivers, providing training and support as needed.

Ensure all transport activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Collaborate with other departments, such as warehousing and inventory, to optimise the overall supply chain.

What we’re looking for

Proven experience as a Transport Manager or similar role in the logistics or supply chain industry.

Strong understanding of road transport operations, including fleet management, route planning and compliance.

Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Proficient in data analysis and the use of transport management systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and manage a team.

Relevant degree or professional qualification in logistics, supply‑chain management or a related field.
