Job Description
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound, storage, picking, packing, and outbound processes to support AlloFresh’s daily fulfillment targets.
Ensure warehouse operations meet SLA, productivity, cost efficiency, and accuracy standards in a high-volume e-grocery environment.
Develop and implement SOPs related to inventory control, stock accuracy, FIFO/FEFO, shrinkage prevention, and cold chain compliance.
Monitor and improve key warehouse KPIs such as order fulfillment rate, picking accuracy, inventory accuracy, On-Time Fulfillment, and cost per order.
Manage warehouse manpower planning, including recruitment, scheduling, performance evaluation, and productivity optimization.
Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Commercial, and Tech teams to support demand spikes, promotions, and new initiatives.
Oversee inventory management, cycle counting, and reconciliation to minimize variance, loss, and damage.
Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and food handling standards, including cold storage and perishable goods requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, layout redesign, and adoption of warehouse technology (WMS, scanning, automation).
Prepare and present regular operational reports, insights, and improvement plans to management.
Oversee inventory management, cycle counting, and reconciliation to minimize variance, loss, and damage
Monitor asset utilization and recommend investments in equipment upgrades or replacements to improve efficiency
Requirements
Minimum
7–10 years of experience
in warehouse or distribution center operations, preferably in
e-commerce, e-grocery, FMCG, or retail .
At least
5 years in a leadership role
managing large warehouse teams.
Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management, and cold chain operations.
Hands-on experience with
WMS , inventory systems, and warehouse performance reporting.
Proven ability to manage high-volume, fast-moving operations under tight SLA and time pressure.
Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, discipline, and motivate operational teams.
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
Willing to work in shifts and be operationally hands-on when required.
