International Justice Mission (IJM)

The position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia and reports to the Head of ILED. It is open only to candidates who reside in Indonesia and have the right to work in the country.
About Yayasan IJMI
Yayasan Integritas Justitia Madani Indonesia (IJMI) is an independent local foundation established in March 2023. It is a partner of IJM and adopts IJM’s systems, models, approaches, and resources.
The Need
For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence by 50% to 85% for large populations of people in poverty. In partnership with IJMI, we seek a Casework Coordinator to coordinate and monitor legal casework from aftermath to resolution, working closely with justice actors, service providers, and implementing partners.
Responsibilities
Coordinate casework related to legal proceedings, including follow‑up on actions involving convicted individuals.
Monitor legal processes (police, prosecutions, courts) step‑by‑step and ensure timely interventions or referrals as needed.
Act as the primary liaison between survivors, legal teams, prosecutors, courts, and partner service providers.
Maintain accurate, confidential case records, progress logs, and case files on organizational systems.
Develop and implement case plans with safety and protection measures; conduct risk assessments and review them regularly.
Guide survivors to and through the NGO’s digital/platform services (referrals, reporting, appointment scheduling, information resources).
Coordinate multi‑stakeholder case meetings and prepare case briefs, status updates, and handover documents.
Ensure all casework follows safeguarding, confidentiality, informed consent, and trauma‑informed standards.
Contribute to lessons learned, reporting, and improvements in case management processes and digital tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work, law, psychology, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in case management, legal support, or victim services, with experience in criminal justice processes preferred.
Familiarity with court procedures, prosecutions, and post‑conviction processes.
Strong knowledge of trauma‑informed practice, safeguarding, and confidentiality.
Experience using case‑management databases and guiding clients through digital platforms.
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑coordination skills; ability to prepare clear case briefs and reports.
Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English, written and verbal.
Willingness to travel within assigned regions as needed.
