Hygiene Specialist – West Sumbawa

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor's (S1) degree in Public Health, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.

AK3U certification (General OSH Expert) or Industrial Hygiene certification is highly valued.

Minimum 2‑3 years of work experience in an HSE/HSE Audit role or similar position, preferably in an industrial environment such as mining or construction.

Familiar with Food Safety & HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).

Proven knowledge and experience in Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification.

Good knowledge in HSE regulations & standards, incident investigation and reporting.

Fluent in English (spoken & written).

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct systematic inspections and compliance audits of mining operational areas to identify and mitigate occupational health, sanitation, and environmental hazards.

Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near‑miss events to identify root causes, analyze contributing factors, and develop corrective and preventive action plans in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Develop and deliver comprehensive occupational health and safety training programs for new employees and contractors at mining sites.

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and environmental monitoring data.

Provide expert guidance on controlling occupational exposure to hazardous substances and ensure implementation of applicable technical standards and best practices within mining operations.

Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE program documentation, including manuals, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.

Support the implementation of emergency response plans and actively participate in crisis management drills and training.

Oversee health, safety & environment implementation practices in daily work and within their work area in the organization.
