Role overview:
The Associate Director for this role will lead TerraPay’s commercial growth in the Jakarta, Indonesia. This role is primarily focused on
expanding and strengthening TerraPay’s partner network —banks, fintechs, payment service providers, and remittance companies—while ensuring commercial success through strategic sales initiatives. The position requires a relationship-first leader who can build trust, navigate regulatory landscapes, and deliver sustainable growth.
How you will create impact:
Network Expansion & Partner Ecosystem
Identify, onboard, and nurture strategic partners across banking, fintech, and payments sectors.
Build a resilient local network that enhances TerraPay’s global interoperability and transaction reach.
Develop long-term partner engagement strategies to maximize transaction volumes and mutual value.
Ensure seamless integration of new partners into TerraPay’s ecosystem, working closely with product and operations teams.
Monitor partner performance and implement initiatives to maximize transaction volumes and profitability.
Act as TerraPay’s primary representative in Jakarta, Indonesia for ecosystem building, industry forums, and regulatory dialogues.
Relationship Management
Serve as the trusted advisor for key partners, ensuring alignment with TerraPay’s global standards.
Establish governance frameworks for partner performance monitoring and escalation management.
Drive joint initiatives with partners to expand product adoption and market penetration.
Market Development
Conduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats.
Represent TerraPay at industry forums, conferences, and regulatory engagements in the Jakarta, Indonesia,
Provide insights to global leadership on local market trends, customer needs, and regulatory developments.
Team & Collaboration
Mentor and guide junior sales managers, fostering a high-performance culture.
Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, legal, and product teams to ensure partner solutions meet regulatory and operational standards.
Act as a key liaison between Jakarta, Indonesia operations and TerraPay’s global leadership.
Essential qualifications:
Deep understanding of cross-border payments, remittance, and digital financial ecosystems.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with ability to influence at C-suite level.
12 to 15 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships within fintech, payments, or financial services.
Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and building strategic partnerships in the Jakarta, Indonesia or broader APAC region.
Strong understanding of local regulatory frameworks (BSP, AML, data privacy).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed environment.
