Purchasing Supervisor (Mandarin & English Speaker)

About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join PT. Origa Mulia FRP as a Purchasing Supervisor. Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the purchasing and procurement functions for this leading manufacturing company based in Tangerang, Banten. This full‑time position requires strong Mandarin and English language skills.

What you’ll be doing

Manage and oversee the end‑to‑end purchasing process, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, order placement, and delivery monitoring.

Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, and other supplies to support production and operations.

Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential suppliers to expand the company's vendor network.

Analyse purchase data and provide recommendations to improve procurement efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with other departments such as production, logistics, and finance to align purchasing activities with business needs.

Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance the overall procurement function.

Supervise and mentor a team of purchasing officers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in any major (preferred fields: Supply Chain Management, Logistics).

Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in manufacturing.

Excellent command of Mandarin and English, written and spoken.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with the ability to build and maintain productive supplier relationships.

Proficient in analyzing purchase data, identifying cost‑saving opportunities, and implementing process improvements.

Demonstrated experience in managing a team and providing effective leadership and mentorship.

Familiarity with purchasing software and ERP systems.
