Senior Buyer Merchandise

Develop and implement buying and merchandising strategies for assigned product categories.

Analyze fashion trends, customer behavior, and sales performance to support purchasing decisions.

Plan and control

OTB / Open To Buy

(Sales, Margin, Inventory) to ensure business targets are met.

Lead, manage, and develop the Buyer/Merchandising team, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and coaching.

Coordinate and negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, quantities, product quality, and delivery timelines.

Manage product assortment, range planning, and stock allocation across stores.

Monitor stock movement, sell-through, and aging stock, and define strategies for markdowns, promotions, and clearance.

Collaborate with design, marketing, and operations teams to ensure product alignment with brand direction.

Resolve issues related to purchasing, inventory, and supply chain in an effective and timely manner.

Prepare buying reports, sales analysis, and team performance evaluations for management review.

Qualifications: Minimum

5 years of experience

as a Buyer or Merchandiser in the

fashion retail industry .

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Business, Management, or a related field.

Strong

leadership skills

with the ability to build, manage, and motivate a team.

Excellent

problem-solving abilities

and sound decision-making skills.

Strong passion and understanding of

fashion trends, colors, materials, and product details .

Experience handling fashion categories such as apparel, accessories, or footwear.

Highly detail-oriented with strong sensitivity to product presentation and quality.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage sales targets, margins, and inventory effectively.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Resilient, target-driven, and able to perform well under pressure.

Fluent in English, both spoken and written (Mandarin proficiency is a plus).

Willing to be based in

Surabaya .
