IT Business Analyst (Mid-Senior Level)

Overview Business Analyst role focused on gathering, analyzing, documenting requirements, and translating them into actionable artifacts to guide development and QA work. This position emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, process modeling, and ensuring governance across the SDLC.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.

Translate business needs into clear user stories, process models, and solution proposals.

Conduct workshops, interviews, and requirement walkthroughs with stakeholders.

Coordinate with development and QA teams to ensure requirements are correctly implemented and validated.

Maintain documentation governance, version control, and traceability across the SDLC.

Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities for efficiency and quality.

Senior level: mentor junior analysts and ensure adherence to documentation standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master\'s preferred).

Minimum 2-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role within payment, loyalty or financial industries.

Strong understanding of system analysis, process re-engineering, and IT delivery lifecycles.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environments.

Proficient in using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Lucidchart, Whimsical, Figma, or similar.

Familiarity with SQL or data visualization tools for analysis.

Preferred certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, IIBA-AAC, or Agile (Scrum Master / Product Owner).
