Job Description
The Isotank Depot Manager is responsible for the overall operation, safety, and efficiency of the isotank container depot. This role oversees depot staff, equipment, cleaning and maintenance activities, compliance with regulations, and customer service to ensure isotank containers are handled, stored, cleaned, and repaired to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Depot Operations
Manage day-to-day depot activities including receiving, storage, cleaning, repair, and dispatch of isotank containers, ensuring efficient container turnaround times and optimal yard utilization, and planning and monitoring depot capacity and workflow.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with HSE standards, ISO, and local regulatory requirements; implement and enforce safety procedures, risk assessments, and emergency response plans; conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training.
Maintenance & Technical Oversight
Oversee cleaning, inspection, testing, and repair of isotanks; ensure proper functioning and maintenance of depot equipment (cleaning stations, boilers); coordinate internal inspections and certifications.
Staff Management
Supervise, train, and evaluate depot staff and subcontractors; develop work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels; promote a safety‑first and performance‑driven culture.
Quality Control
Ensure cleaning and repair standards meet customer and industry requirements; handle non‑conformities, damage reports, and corrective actions; maintain accurate operational and quality records; liaise with customers, shipping lines, surveyors, and regulatory authorities; handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service‑level agreements; support commercial teams with operational input.
Administration & Reporting
Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and performance metrics; control depot costs, budgets, and inventory; ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (logistics, engineering, or related field preferred); 5+ years’ experience in isotank, tank container, or depot operations; strong knowledge of tank container cleaning, repair, and safety regulations is a plus; proven leadership and people‑management skills; active English speaking and writing is a plus; strong operational and organizational skills; problem‑solving and decision‑making ability; good communication and customer‑handling skills; proficiency in depot management systems and MS Office is a plus.
Working Conditions
Based at isotank depot facility at Marunda, Jakarta Utara.
