Engineering Manager

Join PT Amtra Electric as the Engineering Manager leading our Engineering Team. This full‑time position is based in our office and factory located in Tigaraksa, Tangerang Regency, Banten. You will play a strategic and supervisory role in overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of engineering systems to support our operations in the transformer industry.

Responsibilities

Develop product prototypes, and assist its manufacturing process to measure effectiveness & efficiency.

Lead and manage the Engineering Department with full accountability for transformer electrical design, technical compliance, and cost performance.

Establish design strategy to optimize core, winding, and insulation systems for maximum material efficiency and competitive cost structure.

Ensure all transformer designs meet IEC/ANSI standards, customer specifications, and manufacturability requirements.

Oversee validation of electrical calculations (losses, impedance, temperature rise, short‑circuit strength).

Drive value engineering, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous design improvement.

Provide technical leadership in cross‑functional coordination with Production, QC, Sales, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role such as transformer manufacture or electric motor.

Excellent problem‑solving skills with a solution‑oriented mindset.

Up‑to‑date knowledge of engineering tools and technologies.

Strong expertise in transformer electrical design and material optimization strategy.

Deep understanding of performance efficiency, cost structure, and industry standards.

Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic decision‑making capability.
