We are seeking a trusted professional who can help Japanese companies succeed in the fast-changing digital era. This role is ideal for someone who values long-term client relationships, enjoys cross-cultural collaboration, and wants to represent advanced digital and AI-driven solutions across Japan and Southeast Asia.
About the Role
As our Sales Manager for the Japanese Market, you will work closely with enterprise leaders in ASEAN and Japan to support their digital transformation. Your focus will be on understanding client needs, providing clear and honest guidance, and building partnerships that deliver reliable long-term value.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work internationally, collaborate with experienced technology teams, and contribute to the growth of both Japanese enterprises and Gradion across Asia.
Your Responsibilities
Business Development
Develop opportunities with Japanese-owned companies in ASEAN and Japan
Build a healthy sales pipeline through introductions, referrals, and long-term relationship building
Present Gradionโs solutions in a clear, structured, and consultative manner
Client Advisory
Understand each clientโs challenges and propose tailored solutions in AI, data, cloud, SaaS, ERP, and cybersecurity
Coordinate internal experts to prepare accurate, value-based proposals
Guide clients through each step of the decision-making process
Relationship Management
Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key decision makers
Support clients from early discussions through delivery, ensuring a high-quality experience
Represent Gradion at industry events and networking opportunities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with marketing, consulting, and product teams in Japan and ASEAN
Share market insights and help shape our strategy for the Japanese market
Contribute to long-term partnership development between Japan and Southeast Asia
What You Bring
Required:
Applicants with practical experience in sales or account management (experience in IT or digital fields is welcome, but not essential)
Native-level/N-1 Japanese; proficient English communication skills
Ability to build rapport with senior stakeholders and work effectively across cultures
Consultative selling skills and a commitment to delivering value and transparency
Preferred:
Experience selling PIM, DAM, or DXP solutions
Familiarity with ERP, SaaS, data-driven platforms, or digital transformation projects
Experience in multinational or fast-growing environments
Existing relationships within Japanese companies operating in ASEAN
