Senior Platform Engineer

A forward-thinking open source foundation AI company are looking to bolster their team with an experience Senior Platform Engineer.

Responsibilities:

Design and build infrastructure-centric product features such as native schedulers and workload orchestration that run ML pipelines across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Own and scale the ML Cloud (SaaS) platform, ensuring high availability, security, and performance using modern SRE and observability practices. Lead complex enterprise deployments and proofs of concept, including air-gapped, regulated, or highly customized Kubernetes environments, and translate those learnings back into product improvements. Serve as the infrastructure authority for advanced customers, collaborating directly with DevOps and platform teams to unblock critical deployments. Improve developer and data-scientist experience by abstracting Kubernetes and infrastructure complexity behind intuitive, reliable platform primitives.

Requirements:

Deep Kubernetes expertise with a strong understanding of internals, including hands-on experience building Helm charts, debugging cluster networking, ingress, and control-plane issues. Strong Infrastructure-as-Code mindset, with extensive experience using Terraform to manage cloud resources across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Production-grade programming skills in Python and/or Go, with the ability to build core platform features—not just automation scripts. Experience operating distributed systems in cloud environments, including managed Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS) and supporting services like PostgreSQL and APIs. Customer-focused problem solver who can diagnose failures in unfamiliar environments and clearly explain complex infrastructure concepts to both engineers and data scientists.
