EM Debt / EM Credit Portfolio Manager & Team

My client, a US-based boutique investment manager ($20bn+ AUM), are looking to onboard a

Portfolio Manager and his/her team

with a transferable track record and assets in either

EM debt (local or hard currency) or EM credit . The client desires to grow the business with distribution to their primarily U.S. institutional client base. In addition to competitive compensation, the onboarded PM/team would be eligible for profit sharing and compensation is available for lift outs.

The PM/team would ideally be based

anywhere in the US ; however they are open on location (i.e. Europe, South America, etc.).

The ideal candidate / team will have sole responsibility in managing an EM debt / credit fund in order to deliver superior returns. Operational, distribution, and other support will be provided.

Main Responsibilities: Portfolio Management of EM debt (hard or local currency) or EM Credit fund Sovereign / Corporate credit analysis Investment idea generation Securities selection and portfolio construction Client meetings with both existing and prospector investors Contribute to the continuous development of the team’s investment process

Required Experience: Min of 10 years of proven experience in the investment industry as an EM Debt or EM Credit portfolio manager

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge: Minimum $25m in transferable assets

alongside a continuous (marketable) track record of at least 5 years with attractive excess of benchmark and peer returns. Vehicle agnostic (UCITS, private fund, SMAs, etc.). A strong knowledge of Global emerging markets equities A strong understanding of macroeconomic dynamics and how they influence

EM Debt / Credit markets A proven and positive track record in generating alpha using a disciplined investment process The ability to model and analyse companies using a qualitative and quantitative approach is essential The ability to communicate in a clear, simple and consistent way with other team members is essential Lead PM should have a commercial mindset who is keen to support existing clients and help grow the asset base.
