Overview
Associate Specialist - Buyer at Organon. Responsible for planning and coordinating material availability and production schedules to ensure smooth operations, meet KPIs, and support continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Review material availability on weekly production plan and schedule.
Perform inventory analysis and input on potential discard & availability materials for supporting production planning to optimize operation costs/efficiencies.
Interact with internal and external customers to ensure timely execution of production plans and ensure customer service and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Interact with CoE or SME as required related to all issues for production planning.
Monitor and ensure timely reporting on KPIs (e.g., customer service level, OTIF, ICSL).
Support regular team communication and provide continuous feedback.
Perform planning activities for incoming material with ensuring KPI achievements.
Perform planning activities in outbound shipment with focus on market prioritization and KPI achievements.
Maintain technical skills and knowledge up to date and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Execute production plan in planning area activities and support production execution in planning area activities.
Provide data to identify and facilitate Continuous Improvement opportunities.
Keep abreast of site safety & quality requirements and specific compliance policies and standards in daily work.
Demonstrate quality leadership behavior, promote a quality culture, and proactively support cGMP compliance.
Promote the site SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) culture, including the interdependency safety culture.
Act as back-up for Buyer Component.
Qualifications
Bachelorโs degree preferably in business studies and/or economics and industrial engineering.
Fresh graduate is also acceptable with excellent knowledge of supply chain management.
Experience 2 years in production planning and material management is preferable.
Ability to learn from routine work assignments to develop professional skillset at entry level.
Communicates information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Accountable for technical contribution to project team or sub-team.
Works with established procedures, technologies, and methodologies.
Willingness to learn about end-to-end supply chain processes, customer/channel/market insight, relationship management, supply chain risk and compliance, metrics & improvement, information systems knowledge, sales & operation planning, network planning, master production scheduling, and inventory management processes.
Knowledge in SAP & APO; good in English (written and verbal) for day-to-day communication.
Preferably Six Sigma qualification; APICS, CPIM and/or CSCP and/or CPM (Certification in Purchasing Management) are highly desirable.
Knowledge of cGMP in manufacturing/packaging operations, operational excellence, and materials handling systems.
