Internal Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Control Specialist to join our team at PT Simbadda Group Indonesia on a contract basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the integrity of our financial controls and systems, ensuring the company operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.

Based in North Jakarta, Jakarta, this position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit professional to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and growing organisation.

What you’ll be doing

Conducting regular audits and assessments of our internal control framework to identify potential weaknesses or areas for improvement

Implementing and monitoring robust financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting

Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enhance processes, policies and procedures related to financial operations

Providing expert guidance and recommendations to management on regulatory compliance, control enhancements and risk management strategies

Preparing detailed audit reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders

Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of our internal control environment

What we’re looking for

Proven experience (2+ years) as an internal auditor or in a similar control‑focused role, preferably within the Accounting industry

Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal control frameworks (e.g. COSO) and best practices in risk management

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify and address control deficiencies

Proficient in conducting financial audits, process reviews and control assessments

Effective communication and presentation skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels

Proactive, detail‑oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of integrity and compliance
