Job Description

Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing strategic communication initiatives that strengthen Batumbu’s brand and build trust with both borrowers and funders. The role involves turning customer insights and engagement data into actionable programs, managing multi-channel content, and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.

This position plays a key role in driving customer engagement, supporting corporate and regulatory communications, and optimizing the overall customer journey. By bridging brand strategy with insight-driven engagement initiatives, the Marketing Specialist contributes to enhancing Batumbu’s credibility, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth in a regulated fintech environment.

Job Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic communication initiatives to strengthen Batumbu’s brand positioning and credibility in the fintech lending space. Translate customer and market insights into actionable content and engagement programs across digital and offline channels. Plan and manage content for social media, website, email, and event communications, ensuring consistent tone, messaging, and visual identity. Collaborate with Business, Product, Operations, and Customer Service teams to optimize the customer journey and enhance engagement with borrowers and funders. Design and implement customer engagement initiatives, such as surveys, community gatherings, and loyalty programs, leveraging insights to improve satisfaction and retention. Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of communication and engagement initiatives, using data to inform continuous improvement. Support corporate affairs, regulatory engagement, and public trust campaigns, ensuring alignment with Batumbu’s brand and compliance standards.

Qualifications Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Management, Business, or related field. Minimum 2–4 years of experience in marketing communication, brand management, customer engagement, or CRM, experience in fintech, banking, insurance, or regulated industries is a strong plus. Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate customer insights into impactful communication and engagement initiatives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively. Familiarity with CRM tools, engagement platforms, and basic analytics dashboards. Able to work cross-functionally and engage with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders including customers and regulators. Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven, with a focus on building trust and long-term relationships
