Job Description - AVP, Head of Collection Strategy, Risk Management Group (WD78441)

Business Function Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank’s risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure

Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective collection strategies to optimize debt recovery and minimize losses for the bank's loan portfolio

Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and risk factors that impact collection performance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance collection processes and procedures

Monitor and evaluate the performance of collection activities, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to debt collection practices

Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on the performance of the collection function

Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the bank's collection capabilities

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the banking or financial services industry

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Proficient in the use of data analysis tools and techniques, including spreadsheets, databases, and reporting software

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective collection strategies

Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices related to debt collection

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
