Health Safety Environment & Social Security Manager (O&M Powerplant)

PT Medco Power Energi Services (MPES), one of the subsidiaries of Medco Power Indonesia (MPI), based in North Bolaang Mongondow, North Sulawesi, is looking for professionals with the following qualifications: About the RoleThe HSESS Manager is responsible for ensuring all operational activities are conducted safely, healthily, and in an environmentally responsible manner. This role oversees the implementation of the company’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards, ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, strengthens safety culture, and leads continuous improvement across the facility. Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all operational activities comply with the company’s Environmental, Health & Safety Management System and are conducted safely and in an environmentally friendly manner.Develop and implement EHS codes and practices, accident and fire prevention technologies, and emergency response programs.Establish and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, regulators, and key external stakeholders.Collaborate with line management to drive strong HSESS performance and deliver appropriate HSESS programs for each department.Manage the implementation of the EHS Management System, including incident investigations and hazard assessments.Coordinate and communicate with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.Evaluate mandatory training needs and coordinate closely with each department for planning and execution.Develop training programs covering induction, refreshers, EHS competencies, emergency response, and statutory requirements.Prepare and implement EHS procedures, work instructions, and ensure the execution of the approved EHS Management Plan.Lead and monitor EHS inspections and performance monitoring, including ensuring follow-up actions are completed.Promote and ensure the implementation of safety and environmental policies and procedures across the site. Qualifications:EducationBachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety Engineering, Public HealthCertificationsAK3 UmumMPPA & MPPUGADA UTAMA (Security Management)Class A Fire Safety CertificationLead Auditor / Leader Lead AuditorCompetencies & SkillsProficient in English (both written and spoken).Strong understanding of international EHS standards and Indonesian government regulations.Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and communication skills.Work ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience managing EHS functions.Minimum 10 years of experience in power plant Soft Skills:Strong leadership, communication, analytical thinking, compliance management, and reporting. Must demonstrate discipline, integrity, and the ability to influence safety culture across the organization. Other Requirements:Willing to be stationed on-site in remote PLTU operating area.
