Legal Officer (Placement: Bintan, Riau Islands)

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Legal Officer to support our company’s legal operations and ensure compliance across business functions. The ideal candidate is skilled in drafting, reviewing, and interpreting complex agreements while providing clear, practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and finalize complex contracts and legal documents in alignment with company policies.

Translate legal terminology into clear business language (and vice versa) to support operational understanding.

Prepare comprehensive review reports and deliver well-considered legal advice to management.

Conduct and manage follow-ups on legal processes, documentation, and approvals.

Utilize Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools for efficient document management and reporting.

Delegate and coordinate tasks within the legal team, stepping in when necessary to ensure timely completion.

Perform regular checks and balances to ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency in legal deliverables.

Ensure that the company’s business activities comply with all relevant permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements, including monitoring renewals and maintaining updated documentation.

What We Need

Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Law from a reputable university.

2 years of relevant experience in an in‑house legal department or law firm.

Experience in contract management, legal due diligence, and legal compliance.

Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law with solid skills in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and legal analysis.

Able to identify legal risks and provide clear, business‑oriented solutions with strong communication and advisory capability.

Detail‑oriented with accuracy in documentation and reporting, proficient in Microsoft Office and cloud‑based tools.

Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and positive working relationships.

Good command of English; PKPA/UPA, advocate license, and valid driving license are advantages.

Location : Willing to be placed in Bintan, Riau Islands.
