This position reports to: Country Holding Officer

Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure that all local businesses conduct their activities in line with ABB trade policies and guidelines. Each day, you will drive and coordinate the local implementation of ABB’s Global Trade Program as part of the fiduciary duties under the lead business in a country, cluster, region, or regional execution organization. You will also showcase your expertise by overseeing compliance with all applicable customs, sanctions, and export control regulations, as well as by providing training to the respective country, cluster, region, or regional execution organization.

The work model for the role is: This role is contributing to the Finance team in Jakarta.

Accountabilities

Serving as a single point of contact for local (national) trade compliance authorities and country management in handling trade compliance relating to ABB (deemed) exports, cross-border shipments, customers, or vendors, in case of a country-level role.

Ensuring the creation, documentation, and maintenance of trade compliance standards and procedures for all local businesses.

Securing seamless connection between overall trade compliance and day-to-day operations, including master data requirements, supplier qualifications, etc., in collaboration with staff in related domains.

Overseeing trade-related archiving requirements and ensuring that trade compliance records are kept and retrievable, as defined in the relevant instructions and regulations at local and global levels.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Law, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or regulatory affairs.

Strong knowledge of export/import regulations, customs documentation, and SAP GTS or similar systems.

Proven ability to manage relationships with government authorities and internal stakeholders.

Experience conducting audits and managing permits, licenses, and compliance records.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead training and promote compliance awareness.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
