We are seeking a
Claim Analyst
with strong expertise in vessel operational claim handling, cargo variance assessment, and performance-based recovery. If you have a sharp analytical mindset, maritime exposure, and deep understanding of claim settlement processes, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Review, calculate, and submit claim cases related to vessel operational efficiency, cargo handling variance, and fuel performance discrepancies
Analyze voyage data, pumping log, noon report, BDN, ROB findings, and bunker sample documentation
Prepare full claim documentation including evidence file, settlement tracker, and claim statement basis
Liaise with internal stakeholders (Operations, Commercial, Technical, Finance, Legal) and external parties (Charterer, Owner, Surveyor, P&I)
Validate performance deviation against Charter Party terms and voyage instructions
Monitor claim status to ensure timely recovery and closure
Provide insight analysis on claim trends and recommend corrective actions to minimize recurrence
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Shipping Management, or related discipline
Minimum 6 years experience in shipping claims, voyage performance, marine operations or seafaring experience (Chief Officer/2nd Officer/Engineer) with operational cargo and fuel handling exposure
Strong understanding of Charter Party clauses, performance warranties, and claim documentation standards
Skilled in data interpretation: Noon Reports, Voyage Logs, Pumping Records, BDN, ROB, Weather Routing, and vessel performance indicators
Excellent numerical accuracy, documentation skills, and claim negotiation capability
Ability to coordinate with surveyors, P&I clubs, bunker suppliers, and performance specialists
