Job Title: Cost Control & Fixed Asset Accountant
Location: HQ (BAKED. Padonan Office)
Department: Finance & Accounting
Reports To: Finance Director
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Analysis
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly (Food, Beverages, Bakery, Pastry, Merchandise) costs and identify variances between actual and standard costs.
Analyze food and beverage cost trends and provide insights to improve margins.
Review recipe costs and ensure updates are made based on price fluctuations or menu changes.
Maintain and update cost sheets, pricing models, and theoretical vs. actual cost comparisons.
Inventory & Stock Control
Oversee periodic (monthly and quarterly) physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
Investigate discrepancies in inventory records and actual stock levels.
Analyze stock movements, wastage, and spoilage reports to optimize inventory efficiency.
Coordinate with the purchasing department to track and evaluate supplier pricing and purchase efficiency.
Fixed Asset Register Management
Maintain and update the fixed asset register in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Record asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and write-offs on a timely basis.
Ensure each asset is tagged, tracked, and assigned to the appropriate location.
Classify and capitalize fixed assets according to accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Calculate monthly depreciation expenses and ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
Monitor asset useful lives, residual values, and depreciation methods for consistency and compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial planning related to Outlet operations.
Track performance against budgets and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with the Operations team and procurement to ensure alignment between cost goals and operational needs.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Develop and enforce cost control procedures and internal controls related to inventory, purchasing, fixed asset.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Conduct audits to verify adherence to SOPs, stock handling, and waste management protocols.
Reporting
Prepare and present cost reports, margin analysis, and profitability metrics to senior management.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for food, beverage, bakery, pastry, and merchandise.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of the fixed asset register to the general ledger.
Prepare fixed asset schedules for financial reporting, audits, and tax filings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the operations and procurement teams, and suppliers to maintain cost efficiency across the supply chain.
Provide training and guidance to operational staff on cost control best practices.
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual COGS Report.
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Inventory variance and Stock Opname Report.
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Fixed Asset Register Report.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Fresh graduate or 1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or cost-related roles.
Basic understanding of fixed asset accounting (capitalization, depreciation, disposal).
Basic knowledge of cost control principles and expense monitoring.
Familiar with accounting standards related to fixed assets.
Able to use Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables is a plus).
Experience using accounting software / ERP systems is an advantage.
Good attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
Ability to handle data reconciliation and documentation.
Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Willing to learn, well-organized, and able to meet deadlines.
