Role Overview
The Senior SAP Project Manager will lead end-to-end SAP implementation programs across global operations. This role requires strong governance discipline, cross-functional leadership, and deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA transformation strategies.
You will be responsible for managing scope, budget, and timelines while ensuring alignment with business objectives and Clean Core principles.
This position is ideal for seasoned SAP leaders capable of driving complex ERP transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Program Delivery
Lead all project phases: Discovery, Preparation, Exploration, Deployment, Run.
Apply SAP Activate or Hybrid-Agile methodologies.
Ensure milestone adherence and business value realization.
Stakeholder & Executive Management
Act as primary liaison to PMO and C‑suite stakeholders.
Provide transparent reporting on project health, resource allocation, ROI tracking.
Present executive‑level dashboards and steering committee updates.
Scope, Cost & Governance Management
Manage the Project Triangle: Scope, Schedule, Cost.
Control change requests and prevent scope creep.
Maintain high‑quality deliverables aligned with governance frameworks.
Identify and mitigate risks such as customization conflicts.
Implement structured risk response strategies.
Lead cross‑functional teams including ABAP Developers, BASIS & Technical Teams.
Manage onsite and offshore resources.
Foster high‑performance and accountability culture.
Cutover & Go‑Live Management
Oversee detailed cutover planning.
Lead UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles.
Manage hyper‑care support and stabilization post go‑live.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
8–12+ years of SAP implementation experience.
Proven track record managing global or multi‑entity ERP programs.
Industry experience in Manufacturing, Pharma, Retail, or similar sectors preferred.
Technical & Functional Skills
SAP Expertise
Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture.
Understanding of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
Familiarity with cloud integration and Clean Core strategy.
Methodologies
Project Management Tools: MS Project, JIRA.
Preferred Certifications
PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2.
SAP Certified Associate – SAP Activate Project Manager.
Additional module certifications (S/4HANA Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) are a strong advantage.
