Costing Engineer - Manufacturing

Position: Costing Engineer

Job Overview We are looking for a Costing Engineer to support quotation and pricing activities in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing cost breakdowns, benchmarking against market prices, and ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining healthy profit margins to win new business.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze detailed costing sheets during RFQ process.

Identify cost elements that are not competitive compared to market benchmarks or previous projects.

Understand and validate costing assumptions.

Lead cost review discussions to optimize pricing.

Propose adjustments in materials, margin, MOQ, investment, or other cost drivers to meet customer target prices.

Compare RFQ costing vs actual production costing when required.

Benchmark costs across sites and competitors.

Prepare clear reports and highlight costing risks to management.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years experience in costing, pricing, or RFQ within manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of cable, PVC, terminals, connectors or similar products is preferred.

Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas and cost analysis).

Good analytical skills and attention to detail.

Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
