Director, Services Business Development (Cyber Sales Specialist)

About The Role
The Cybersecurity Business Development Lead – South East Asia supports Mastercard’s Cyber business growth. You will lead the strategic development and commercial success of the cybersecurity business, driving revenue and profitability while collaborating closely with other Services functions. Focus is on advancing Threat Intelligence solutions integrated into clients’ cyber risk strategies. Responsibilities include originating and managing a sales pipeline, meeting revenue/bookings targets, and acting as a trusted advisor to mid‑level to C‑suite clients.
Key Responsibilities
Overall sales and revenue management for the division in partnership with product teams.
Sell cyber products and services that enhance risk management with threat intelligence for existing and new customers.
Manage the end‑to‑end sales cycle, ensuring high‑quality outcomes.
Build relationships with internal teams (account, generalist/specialist sales, Cyber product, customer success) and external partners (clients, strategic partners).
Collaborate with product and marketing teams to develop a unified cyber narrative and sales process.
Required Qualifications
8‑10 years of cybersecurity sales experience with a large consulting or technology provider and a strong track record of meeting or exceeding annual budgets/targets.
Industry savvy, understanding emerging cyber trends and creatively leveraging market opportunities.
Strong network with cybersecurity stakeholders in FI, Gov, Retail, Infrastructure.
Experience selling security services, consulting, and technologies such as threat intelligence, security awareness, cloud security, crisis and incident response, third‑party risk, vulnerability management, AI security, cyber risk quantification, web application firewall, and identity theft protection.
Experience in complex organisational structures, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to build trust‑based relationships with mid‑ and executive‑level clients.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed tactical execution, making quick decisions in ambiguous situations.
Experience in fast‑paced, dynamic environments, multitasking across priorities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, translating complex concepts into compelling narratives.
Direct selling or customer‑facing experience, identifying client needs and building cybersecurity proposals.
Ability to draft proposals and scope new opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with information security standards and practices (PCI‑DSS, HIPAA, ISO27001, NIST, CIS, CSA).
Understanding payment ecosystem security needs for financial services customers such as acquirers, processors, issuers, merchants, SMB, and government.
Corporate Security Responsibility
Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices.
Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of accessed information.
Report any suspected information security violation or breach.
Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
