Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Pattern Master / Senior Pattern Maker to play a key role bridging design vision, pattern engineering, and production execution. This role combines creative interpretation, advanced pattern development, and technical leadership. You will collaborate closely with designers, sample room teams, and production to ensure garments maintain both artistic intent and technical perfection. This is a senior-level position suited for a professional who is passionate about luxury craftsmanship and capable of mentoring teams while delivering precise, production-ready patterns.

Key Responsibilities Pattern Creation & Development Interpret design sketches, concepts, and references into accurate master patterns. Develop patterns from concept stage through final production approval. Ensure perfect balance of aesthetics, fit, proportion, and construction feasibility. Create, modify, and refine patterns for both structured and fluid luxury garments.

Creative & Technical Translation Collaborate with designers to transform creative ideas into technically viable garments. Propose pattern solutions that enhance silhouette, comfort, and construction quality. Provide technical recommendations on materials, finishes, and construction methods.

Fit & Sampling Leadership Lead fitting sessions and determine required adjustments. Guide sample makers and junior pattern makers. Ensure consistency across sizes through accurate grading.

Production Readiness Finalize production patterns with full technical accuracy. Resolve technical challenges during pre-production and bulk stages. Optimize patterns for fabric usage without compromising design integrity.

Documentation & Process Control Maintain organized pattern archives and revision records. Ensure traceability and clarity of technical data. Establish best practices and standardization across pattern workflows.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship Work cross-functionally with Design, Sampling, Industrialization, and Production. Train and mentor junior pattern makers and technical staff. Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Candidate Profile Experience Minimum +10 years experience as a Pattern Maker within premium or luxury fashion. Strong portfolio demonstrating both creative pattern work and production-ready development. Experience working with complex garments, high-end fabrics, and refined constructions. Background in both atelier-style and industrial environments is highly valued.

Technical Skills Mastery of manual pattern making. Experience with CAD systems (Gerber, Lectra, Optitex or similar) is a strong advantage. Excellent knowledge of garment construction, grading, and fabric behavior. Ability to interpret sketches, drapes, and technical packs.

Personal Qualities Highly precise and detail-driven. Creative thinker with strong problem-solving ability. Strong leadership and communication skills. Able to manage multiple developments simultaneously.
