Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Pricing Strategy Manager to lead a team of pricing associates and analysts. The primary responsibility will be in pricing strategy formulation and optimization effort, which will cover various country day to day pricing strategies and develop flight pricing strategic frameworks to elevate our Flight pricing BAU. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, experience leading a team, and have the ability to translate data into meaningful pricing actions.
This position reports into the Head of Flight Strategy and Growth Management.
Key day to day tasks include but are not limited to:
Drive the development of flight pricing strategies and pricing experiments across all countries in Traveloka
Lead team members to analyze market trends, competitor dynamics and customer behavior to optimize ricing decisions
Model pricing scenarios and forecast revenue impact from pricing decisions undertaken.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including supply and marketing teams, to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
Monitor pricing performance and identify opportunities for further price optimization
Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on pricing effectiveness and market trends
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or any other quantitative fields, or other relevant fields from reputable universities (with minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 is a plus). An MBA or Master's degree in those fields is a plus.
6+ years or more experience with 2 years managing a team
Experience in the travel industry, other technology companies or global consulting firms is a plus.
Strong analytical mindset and an excellent understanding of pricing strategies and technicals
Must possess strong analytical skills, with an ability to distill information and uncover insights from a variety of sources
Results oriented and operate with a non rules based mindset
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, define the technical requirements to collaborate effectively with the Product team and deliver results within deadlines.
Demonstrate ability to proactively collaborate with cross geography / cross functional teams as well as stakeholders at all levels
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders effectively
Possesses the ability to synthesize complex industry trends into actionable strategies, converting rapid learning into measurable business impact.
