Associate manager - Talent Acquisition APAC @ KPIT | Strategic Talent Sourcing | Business Partnering | Stakeholder Management | Influential Talent
Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, and negotiation techniques.
Ability to analyse cost structures, conduct price benchmarking, and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
Proficient in supplier selection, preparing and reviewing RFQs, technical specifications, commercial terms, negotiations, and contracting.
Skilled in supplier performance monitoring, risk assessment, and compliance management.
Capability to collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams for supplier alignment.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills for effective decision-making.
Drive cost reduction, localization, and value engineering initiatives.
Track supplier performance (QCD) and ensure compliance and readiness for programs.
Analyze manufacturing cost drivers and market trends to improve cost competitiveness.
Strong co-ordination, time management, and structured approach towards achieving KPI metrics.
Ability to represent the team in internal and customer-facing meetings for sourcing, NPD, costing and technical discussions.
Technical Requirements
Proficiency in interpreting
3D/2D drawings , GD&T, material specifications, and identifying manufacturing processes based on drawings, product cards, or physical images.
Deep understanding & hands‑on experience in sourcing metallic / non‑metallic / mechanical / electrical components or commodities relevant to the business.
Knowledge of procurement processes, global sourcing practices, and supply chain fundamentals.
Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for PO creation, tracking, and data management.
Understanding of quality standards, supplier audits, PPAP/APQP documentation, and compliance norms.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOM structures for accurate sourcing.
Experience in vendor development, contract management, and ensuring on‑time material availability.
Hands‑on experience in
process & machine selection (Size, tonnage…etc) , cycle time calculation, process layout, and identifying key cost drivers.
Knowledge of
tool cost estimation
(press tool, Jig, Fixtures, mould cost breakdown, complexity evaluation, hot runner vs cold runner selection, tool lifetime, etc.) is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills for breakdown of material, process, tooling, labour, and overhead components.
Excellent communication skills – ability to present technical and cost insights to cross‑functional teams and customers.

Proficiency in using MS office
ERP/PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to ensure reliable and cost‑effective procurement.
Manage RFQs, negotiate prices, and finalize commercial terms to meet cost and quality targets.
Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
Monitor supplier performance, address delivery/quality issues, and implement improvement actions.
Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems and ensure compliance with company policies.
