Process Engineer

ISBL

to support the engineering scope of the SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) project. This role will focus on process simulation, digitalization, optimization, and cross-functional collaboration throughout various project phases. This role will work closely with engineering, operations, and safety teams to ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance. Reporting: Process Lead ISBL Location: ESM Head Office, Jakarta Selatan & Site Plant Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Minimum 7 years of experience in process engineering in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or chemical industries. Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, ProII, or similar. Hands-on experience in developing and interpreting PFDs, P&IDs, and process calculations. Familiarity with Basic Engineering Design (BED), material and energy balances, and equipment sizing. Demonstrated experience in supporting digital engineering initiatives (e.g., P&ID digitalization). Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental standards including SMK3 and ISO 14001. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Job Descriptions: Software Engineering Simulation; Develop and implement dynamic and steady-state process simulation models using engineering software. Support design validation, troubleshooting, and evaluation of process alternatives for improved plant performance. P&ID Digitalization; Lead or support the conversion of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) into digital formats to ensure accuracy, real-time accessibility, and improved collaboration across engineering teams. Basic Engineering Design (BED); Contribute to early project design by performing process calculations, preparing material and energy balances, and sizing major equipment. Process Optimization; Analyze plant and simulation data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities related to energy use, throughput, or cost. Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, E&I, operations, and HSE to ensure process design supports construction and operations objectives. Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and HAZOPs when required. Implement the company’s safety and environmental management systems in all engineering activities. Compliance Monitoring: Conform to, promote, and reinforce compliance with OHS and Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures. Monitor engineering and operational activities for non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions as needed. Business Development Support; Assist in identifying potential business opportunities through process insights. Support the development of technical content for project proposals and feasibility studies.
