Translator

To support smooth communication between Mandarin-speaking stakeholders (management, engineers, vendors, or customers) and local team members by providing accurate translation and interpretation of technical and non-technical information in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide

verbal interpretation (Mandarin ↔ Indonesian/English)

during meetings, factory visits, discussions, audits, and business negotiations.

Translate

documents, emails, SOPs, work instructions, reports, and technical materials

related to manufacturing operations.

Support communication between

Chinese expatriates/managers and local employees

to prevent misunderstanding and ensure smooth workflow.

Assist in translating

technical terminologies

related to production, engineering, quality, supply chain, or HR.

Accompany expatriates/managers during

production floor tours

and interpret instructions to operators and supervisors.

Maintain

high confidentiality and professionalism

when handling corporate information.

Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure all translated information is

clear, correct, and timely delivered .

Provide cultural communication support to improve workplace collaboration.

(If needed) Assist HR with onboarding of Mandarin-speaking employees, including explaining company policies and regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in

Mandarin Language, Communications, Engineering, or relevant field .

Proven experience as

Mandarin translator/interpreter , preferably in manufacturing.

Proficiency in

Mandarin (HSK level 5 or above preferred) .

Strong verbal and written communication in

Mandarin and Indonesian/English .

Good understanding of industrial/manufacturing terminology is a plus.

Familiar with

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) .

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Willing to work on the production floor when needed.
