Overview We are looking for an experienced

Manufacturing Shift Manager

to join our team on a 3-shift rotation pattern. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will play a key role in leading production, maintenance, and process activities during your shift. You will guide and support a team of operators and technical staff, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Key Accountabilities Production & Performance Lead the execution of manufacturing activities in line with the production plan and company objectives. Ensure daily targets are met across safety, quality, efficiency, and cost. Manage and support a team of productive and technical personnel. Drive problem solving, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare and share production and performance reports.

Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, GMP, and food safety requirements. Oversee pre-production start-up activities and address any deviations. Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure lines operate as per specifications. Promote strong housekeeping, 5S practices, and plant cleanliness. Conduct GEMBA walks and implement corrective actions.

Leadership & People Development Provide decisive leadership to achieve zero defects and deliver on all targets. Mentor, motivate, and develop team members to enhance skills and performance. Foster open communication across shifts, ensuring clear priorities and smooth handovers. Lead onboarding, training, performance management, and development initiatives. Encourage teamwork, accountability, and continuous engagement. Promote company values and create a positive, performance-driven culture.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (MQF Level 6) with 5 years’ experience in manufacturing operations and people management, OR Advanced Technical Diploma (MQF Level 5) with 9 years’ experience in manufacturing operations and people management.

Experience Proven frontline management experience in a GMP-regulated environment (food, pharmaceutical, or chemical). Comfortable working on a three-shift rotation.

Skills & Knowledge Strong technical/engineering background with knowledge of industry-standard equipment. Solid understanding of Lean, GMP, 5S, ISO Standards, Safe Food Handling, and HACCP. Skilled in Root Cause Analysis, TPM, and action planning for efficiency and quality. Adept at situational leadership, coaching, and team motivation. Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills. Capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
