Our distributed engineering team — spanning the U.S., Romania, India, and now Indonesia — is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced senior backend engineer (Java) who thrives on solving complex technical problems, writing clean code, and delivering reliable, cloud‑based solutions.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using

Java

Build and integrate

REST APIs

and

GraphQL

endpoints

Deploy serverless functions using

AWS Lambda , manage

API Gateway , and work with other cloud services

Implement SQL/NoSQL data models and optimize queries (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB)

Ensure code quality through testing and automation (Postman, Swagger, cURL, integration tests)

Apply best practices for security, authentication ( OAuth2, Basic Auth ) and API protection

Participate in system design, scalability planning, and architecture reviews

What We’re Looking For

4+ years

of professional software development experience

Strong proficiency in

Java

Deep understanding of

HTTP, API design, authentication

Hands‑on experience with

AWS, GCP, or Azure

(compute, storage, networking, CDNs)

Strong database experience with

SQL & NoSQL

technologies

Experience with

microservices , monolith refactoring, event‑driven systems (Kafka, PubSub, SNS)

Comfortable working in

Linux/Windows

environments with DevOps fundamentals

Excellent

English communication skills

(spoken & written)

Nice to Have

Knowledge of

ETL/data pipelines

or workflow automation (iPaaS)

Experience with

CI/CD , monitoring tools, and performance optimization

Exposure to

IoT

or real‑time event processing
