Role Overview
The GBS Data and Analytics team is composed of individual doers and collaborators working passionately to apply cutting‑edge advances in technology to solve real‑world problems. As a data modeler in this group, you will work directly with architects and engineers in creating, optimizing and documenting data models to translate complex business data into usable computer systems. You are expected to support the enhancement of data governance, quality, and accessibility, ultimately empowering our organization to make data‑driven decisions and achieve strategic objectives.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Graduated in (Business) Informatics, IT, computer science or a related field.
3+ years of experience in analytics and data roles.
Experience in Data architecture, relational modeling and multidimensional modeling – modeling notations, Cobb model rules, conceptual to logical to physical data models.
Proficient in SQL and in using a cloud‑based data warehousing platform such as Snowflake.
Experience with at least one data modeling software such as SqlDBM, Erwin, ER/Studio, Power Designer, Enterprise Architect, Infosphere Data Architect, Modelsphere, or Toad Data modeler.
Familiarity with master data and reference data concepts. Experience in MDM platforms such as SAP‑MDG is a plus.
Business domain knowledge – Commercial, Consumer or Operations is a plus.
Preferred Qualification
Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Good communication skills with users and other technical teams to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy.
Ability to work directly with remote technical teams.
