Business Development Specialist – Modern Trade
Responsibilities:
Acquire new Modern Trade accounts through prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and deal closing.
Develop commercial proposals including pricing, listing terms, payment terms, and partnership packages.
Drive sales growth through effective negotiation, promotional planning, and assortment.
Arrange and negotiate a business plan that involves trading terms for each key account in time.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply, Ops and Finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
Monitor sales performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Monitor, analyze and prepare a report of sales achievement in modern trade channels on a regular basis.
Requirements:
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Preferably >5 years of successful track record in business development within the FMCG industry, particularly in the Modern Trade channel.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision‑makers and drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
Excellent analytical abilities with proficiency in data interpretation and market analysis.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Results‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.
Flexibility to adapt to a fast‑paced and dynamic work environment.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
