VMware Administrator

Job Summary: We are seeking skilled and motivated German-speaking VMware Specialists to join the Cloud team of our client. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, automation, and optimization of our data center virtualization environment. You will work closely with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of VMware-based systems.

Key Responsibilities: Administer, maintain, and optimize VMware-based data center environments Manage and support VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSphere infrastructure Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of VMware components Automate routine operational tasks and infrastructure processes Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, and implement improvements where needed Troubleshoot and resolve VMware infrastructure issues in a timely manner Collaborate with cloud, network, and system teams to support business and technical requirements Maintain documentation of infrastructure, procedures, and configurations Ensure systems comply with company policies, standards, and security requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with VMware technologies, including: ESXi vCenter Server vSphere Proven experience in administration and automation of data center environments Experience with infrastructure automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, PowerCLI, or similar) is an advantage Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Good understanding of virtualization concepts and best practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Language Requirements: Fluent German Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications: VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP) are a plus Experience working in cloud or enterprise data center environments Experience with monitoring and automation tools
