Job Description
We are looking for a
Senior Control Systems Engineer
to lead the architecture, integration, and delivery of electrical and electronic subsystems for gas turbine engine control. This is a high‑impact role shaping next‑generation engine platforms and working alongside some of the best minds in performance engineering, embedded systems, and mechanical design.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
Drive system‑level architecture decisions for electronic control and power systems across all engine platforms.
Lead the design and integration of ECUs/FADECs, including hardware architecture, power distribution, sensor interfaces, and wiring harnesses.
Oversee specification, selection, and qualification of sensors, actuators, and supporting electrical components.
Ensure systems meet EMC, thermal, vibration, and environmental requirements for aerospace/defence applications.
Ensure adherence to standards including
DO‑254, DO‑178C, MIL‑STD‑704, MIL‑STD‑461, ARP4754A , and others.
Support safety assessments, FMEAs, and system qualification activities, including
HIL testing .
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with embedded software teams for seamless hardware–software integration.
Collaborate with mechanical design teams on packaging, cooling, and structural requirements.
Partner with manufacturing and test teams to support ECU production, validation, and engine‑level integration.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in
Electrical/Electronic Engineering
or related field.
8+ years
of experience in electrical/electronic systems design.
Strong background in
aerospace‑grade control hardware , power electronics, and embedded integration.
Hands‑on experience with industry standards (e.g.,
DO‑254, DO‑178C, MIL‑STD‑704 ).
Knowledge of control system simulation, signal conditioning, and high‑reliability design principles.
Desired Skills
Familiarity with gas turbine engine control architectures.
Experience in digital/analog circuit design, PCB layout reviews, and component derating.
Understanding of safety‑critical embedded software lifecycle.
Strong troubleshooting skills and proficiency with lab instrumentation and validation tools.
