Purchase Specialist

About the Company Responsible for the purchasing of various commodity categories across multiple entities in Batam Indonesia and Southeast Asia and at the most economical total cost, consistent with the standards of quality required in accordance with Corporate Purchasing policies and procedures.

About the Role The position reports to the Purchasing Manager and represents the Plant Buyer function in multiple manufacturing and logistics services sites. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team oriented, highly motivated and a strong communicator.

Responsibilities Deliver targeted outcomes while maintaining a strategic approach to purchasing. Optimize purchasing processes and the supplier base to ensure fulfillment of cost, quality, and delivery expectations. Monitor the effectiveness of purchasing activities and assess supplier performance.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in logistics; project management experience; advanced academic qualification is a plus; fluent in Indonesian and English.
