Position Overview We are recruiting an Operations Account Manager to join a leading packaging company focused on operational excellence and sustainable manufacturing. The role will manage day-to-day account operations for strategic customers, act as the primary cross-functional contact between clients and internal teams (operations, supply chain, quality, and production), and ensure consistent delivery of service, product quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will balance customer relationship management with operational execution to meet service levels, drive account profitability, and support growth. Key Responsibilities Serve as the main operational point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of customer issues. Coordinate order fulfillment activities including production planning, scheduling, capacity checks, and shipment coordination to meet customer delivery expectations. Collaborate with sales, supply chain, procurement, quality, and R&D teams to translate customer requirements into feasible manufacturing plans and product specifications. Monitor account performance using KPIs (on-time delivery, fill rate, quality metrics, lead times) and prepare regular status reports and reviews for customers and internal stakeholders. Manage commercial order administration including order confirmations, change requests, invoicing coordination, and dispute resolution in line with company policies. Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for quality or delivery issues, working closely with quality and production teams to implement preventive measures. Support demand planning activities by providing account-level forecasts, promoting accurate inventory management, and minimizing stockouts or excess inventory. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, cost reduction, waste minimization, and improved customer satisfaction. Participate in contract renewals and commercial discussions by providing operational input on lead times, capacity, and cost-to-serve. Represent the company at customer meetings, plant visits, and industry events as required to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities. Mentor junior operations or customer service staff and share best practices to raise overall account management capability.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Packaging Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in account management, operations, customer service, or supply chain within the packaging, manufacturing, or materials sector. Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams (production, quality, supply chain) to deliver on customer commitments. Strong operational and commercial acumen with experience in demand planning, capacity management, and cost-to-serve analysis. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to manage customer expectations and present operational data clearly. Comfortable using ERP/CRM systems and reporting tools; proficiency with Excel and basic data analysis. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel to customer sites and manufacturing facilities as required. Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems is advantageous.
