AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

This position is a technical resource and leader within the Indonesia data center, ensuring availability and reliability that meets or exceeds defined service levels while maintaining high performance at the most effective cost. The Facility Manager reports to the Indonesia Data Center Engineering Operations Cluster Manager and serves as Amazon's front line for managing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, including generators, UPS, switchgear, CRAC units, chillers, fire suppression, building automation, and more.

Key job responsibilities

Responsible and accountable for the operation and management of the data center's routine and emergency services across a variety of critical systems, including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, and other data center support infrastructure.

Work with the Chief Engineer (CE) to conduct analyses, develop and lead improvement initiatives, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance.

Lead and manage on‑site shift technicians, senior shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with established practices and procedures.

Manage relationships with Safety, Security, Construction Management, Field Engineering, and various other support organizations to ensure safe, secure, and reliable data center operations.

Manage relationships with third‑party colocation providers and their facility staff.

Manage talent acquisition and people development for the DCEO organization.

Collaborate with business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize data center facility safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Lead and manage budgeting and procurement for data center‑related goods and services.

Responsible for data center asset and inventory management.

About the team You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Basic Qualifications

4+ years experience in a people manager position with multiple direct reports.

5+ years of data center or mission‑critical facilities experience (e.g., hospital, power plant, oil and gas, mining, airline, public safety facility).

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering or other relevant fields.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical subjects.
