Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially minded Security & Compliance Manager to strengthen our governance framework and ensure robust protection of information, people, and assets. This role will take end‑to‑end ownership of security, compliance, and risk controls, aligning regulatory requirements with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, with full accountability for security and compliance at country level.
Lead and manage the Security & Compliance function, ensuring consistent standards across all stores.
Implement, enforce, and continuously improve safety and security rules, routines, and best practices across multiple retail locations.
Conduct regular and surprise store visits to verify compliance and drive a strong security culture.
Partner with Construction and Design teams on the placement of security, fire, and safety equipment during store build and refurbishment phases.
Review, provide feedback on, and formally sign off site drawings at each stage of store construction and design.
Test, commission, and approve security hardware, fire systems, and security software prior to store opening.
Carry out post‑construction inspections of fire and safety equipment and recommend corrective actions before handover and store launch.
Ensure comprehensive training for store teams on security systems, equipment, and safety & security routines.
Collaborate closely with PR & Marketing to plan and deliver security arrangements for special events.
Engage with landlords and mall management to present security plans, obtain approvals, and coordinate special access requirements.
Project manage security operations for special events, including crowd control, queue management, guard deployment, and customer safety.
Govern access control permissions for sensitive areas such as cash rooms and IT server rooms.
Ensure stores maintain mandated levels of safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and fire blankets.
Lead investigation, escalation, and resolution of security incidents beyond store‑level capability.
Monitor and manage the performance of external security guards, ensuring adherence to defined routines and standards.
Key Requirements
Minimum 3‑5 years’ experience in a Head of Department or equivalent senior security role.
Proven experience in retail security operations, preferably within multi‑site environments.
Strong working knowledge of local employment regulations and applicable laws.
Demonstrated ability to balance operational security needs with commercial realities.
Hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach with the ability to lead from the front.
English speaking skill is a must.
Ability to remain calm, decisive, and solution‑focused under pressure.
Strong communicator with the credibility to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Collaborative team player with excellent people management skills.
Practical, action‑oriented mindset with high personal accountability.
