Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Bintan, Indonesia
Direct Manager: Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage all mechanical documents required for contract tenders, submissions, and compliance, including general arrangement drawings, pre-sales drawings, and URS compliance.
Customize designs based on standard units and create updated 3D drawings in SolidWorks™.
Develop and manage an accurate Mechanical Bill of Materials (BOM) within target costs, coordinating with other engineers.
Identify suitable standard parts and source new components in coordination with the warehouse and purchasing team.
Fulfill technical product requirements, such as test protocols, calculations, and supplier drawings, until installation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and verify designs, addressing potential risks.
Ensure customized units meet standards through testing, and update 3D drawings for future reference.
Provide operation and maintenance details by preparing user manuals in coordination with the documentation team.
Key Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Design.
Proficient in SolidWorks™; experience with AutoCAD, and other 2D/3D CAD/CAM software is a plus.
Minimum 1 to 2 years of working experience in designing mechanical components and assemblies.
Skilled in creating parts, multi-component assemblies, and dimensioned drawings to company standards.
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), including stack-up and optimization.
Knowledge of materials, sheet metal fabrication (cutting, welding), CFD, and processes like injection molding, die-casting, and machining.
Basic knowledge of P&ID and Electrical.
Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
